Stop Calling Them Block Clerks. They're Internet Ringmen.
Auctioneers love their ringmen because they spot and call out bids from the floor. The block clerk does the same job for the internet, calling out online bids as they come in and keeping remote bidders current with the live auction. Now that more than half the bids come from online, the block clerk is the second ringman and the role is worth a rename.
