This Privacy Policy explains how Selling Lane Auctions, LLC ("Selling Lane," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access or use our websites, mobile applications, and other online products and services (collectively, the "Services"). Please read it carefully.

1. Critical notice: our role as a software provider

Selling Lane is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider. We provide the technology platform that allows independent third-party dealerships and auctioneers ("Sellers") to conduct their own auctions.

• We are not the Seller: we do not own, inspect, or sell the vehicles listed on our platform.
• We are the Data Processor: in many cases, we process data on behalf of our Sellers.

Part I — Information Selling Lane collects and controls

1. Information you provide to us

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, register for an auction, request customer support, or make a purchase. This may include:

• Identity Data: name, username, or similar identifier.
• Contact Data: billing address, delivery address, email address, and telephone numbers.
• Financial Data: partial credit card details (processed securely via PCI-compliant gateways like Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers.

2. Information we collect automatically

When you access or use our Services, we automatically collect information about you, including:

• Log Information: type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address, and the page you visited before navigating to our Services.
• Device Information: hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information.

Google Analytics & Google Ads disclosure

We use third-party tools, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, to collect data for ad personalization and to understand website traffic.

• EU/UK Users: by using this service in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you consent to this data processing.

• Opt-Out: you may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.

4. Text messages (SMS)

If you give us a mobile number, we may use it to send text messages about the Services. That includes auction and account texts (outbid alerts, lot closing warnings, registration or bidder verification, payment or pickup reminders) and, if you ask for them, occasional product or event texts.

We only text a number after you provide it and agree to receive texts (for example, at registration, in account settings, or on a form). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to a Selling Lane text to opt out of further texts from that program. Reply HELP for help, or email info@sellinglane.com / call (508) 322-1770. Opting out of texts does not opt you out of emails, and it does not delete your account.

We do not sell mobile numbers. We do not share them with third parties for those parties' own marketing. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Agreeing to marketing texts is not a condition of buying or using the Services. A Seller running an auction you join may see your number for that sale.

Part II — Information we process on your behalf

If you handle other people's data using Selling Lane apps (e.g., you are an Auctioneer uploading bidder lists), you are entrusting that data to us for processing.

• Ownership: you own your service data. We protect it, limit access to it, and only process it according to your instructions.
• Access: you may access it, share it through third-party integrations, and request that we export or delete it.
• Retention: we hold the data in your account as long as you choose to use Selling Lane Services. After you terminate your account, your data will be automatically deleted from our active database within 6 months.

Part III — General provisions

1. Data deletion & account termination

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

• Self-Service: delete your account from within the "Settings" menu of our mobile or web app.
• Web Request: if you cannot access the app, email info@sellinglane.com with your deletion request.
• Note: we may retain certain data as required by law (e.g., tax records, audit trails for sold vehicles) even after a deletion request.

2. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

3. International data transfers

Selling Lane is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we share it.

• GDPR (Europe): we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers of personal data to third countries.

4. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data ("Right to be Forgotten").
• Restrict processing of your data.
• Portability: receive a copy of your data in a structured format.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile numbers with third parties for those parties' own marketing. A Seller running an auction you join may see your mobile number for that sale (pickup, payment, outbid alerts). To make a California request, email jude@sellinglane.com.
